How It All Started

Ed and Alice Monk, both teachers themselves, started the YES! School in 2006 after adopting their son, Prasad, from Kakinada India. Through their adoption process they learned of the dire need in India first hand and were inspired to help. With a remarkable local Indian organization led by Paparao Yeluchuri and his team, they were able to begin what is now YES! Kindness Works.
